I have tried it and it works much better in iOs than in the Mac; in my iPhone I can use the field names of a external spreadsheet for mail merge, but in my Mac I can only use predefined field names, I can not use the field names of a external spreadsheet, though I can link one of Apple´s predefine fieldnames to the values of the spreadsheet´s fields.


That is very annoying and weird..

Re-read the link in my original post just to be certain you are following all appropriate steps. It is not the Mail Merge implementation from the venerable Pages '09 v4.3, by any measure.


Don't worry, Pages is a lightning rod for those having issues with it and if others are experiencing challenges with the new Mail Merge feature, they won't be bashful about posting in the Pages for Mac community.
