Magic Mouse lagging issue resolved - interference with wireless headset

My Magic Mouse 1 was lagging (not tracking correctly). It happened overnight. Before that it was working perfectly. I followed all the fixes that are posted online: cleaning the lens, restarting de mouse, restarting my MacBook, repairing the bluetooth connection, deleting the mouse plist files, etc. Nothing helped.

I had a wireless headset connected to my MacBook (which I had used along with the mouse for years). I fully disconnected it (System Preferences > Bluetooth > removed the device) and noticed that the mouse worked fine again. Then I added the headset again from scratch in the Bluetooth preferences, and the interference was gone!

UPDATE: the fix that I described before didn't last long. The issue is back and can't be fixed with that procedure. The behavior is quite odd: all other features (scrolling, clicks, gestures) work perfectly all the time, and usually at the beginning of the day the mouse tracks fine. However, suddenly it just stops tracking completely, or sometimes it becomes briefly sluggish before that.

Again, I have tried all other methods to no avail!
