when i close my laptop lid (macbook pro 2020) to put it to sleep, better is completely dead when I wake it. So it is completely dying while sleeping and i have to plug it in. This happens when I close the lid and also when I use the menu sleep ooption.

The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.4 — I would start there

thank you for your prompt response. I have downloaded the most recent updates but have not yet tried to put my macbook to sleep. I will do that this afternoon and post again.
New download worked so far! I unplugged my macbook at 12:00 pm and closed the lid. at 4:00 when I opened it up, it still had 100% charge!!! So THANK YOU!
