M1 Mac Mini/Monterey 12.4 UPS shutdown then restart when power returns

I have a small UPS attached to my M1 Mac Mini and have set the UPS shutdown to execute when 5 minutes are left on the battery. So far, so good. Now, I want to auto restart the Mac when power is restored. Apparently if you crash the Mac Mini it will restart when power returns (Energy Saver → Start up automatically after a power failure) but since it was gracefully shutdown by the UPS this option doesn't kick in. Is there another option for when we are away from home and can't press the button? I use this for remote access so we are not always around. One option I can think of but is a bit kludgy would be to place a wifi smart switch between the UPS and the Mac Mini. It would still take a manual intervention but at least that would work remotely. Anyone have any better solutions?
