My 2019 MacBook Pro died suddenly. Nothing was wrong one day, and the next day it died. Is this a common experience? I have (still) a very slow 2010 MacBook. Nothing like this has happened to me before. I have a number of devices and this is the worst. Are the new ones any better?

Hi, thanks. I did that and there’s no hope. It’s either refurbished with a 3 month warranty or a new one. No data can be saved. I just think that no computer should die after 3 years especially if it’s not overworked and not abused. It’s not a cheap unit.
Any computer can die. I had two very expensive HP Spectre's with 1TB SSD drives die on me in the same year. And they were both in their first year of service. While we hope it never happens to us, unfortunate things can and do happen.
When you say no data can be saved, does that mean you weren't backing up your MacBook Pro using Time Machine? If you are backing up your computer as one should, your data can be easily moved to a new machine.
Yes I know you’re right but it does seem 2019 was not their best year for Macbook Pros. I just thought some sort of compensation would serve toward customer loyalty. Like some sort of rebate or credit toward a new one. I think there seems to be a lot of 2019’s that have had this problem…?
Well, they do give you a discount from the original purchase price if you choose to go with an Out of Warranty replacement, which is as you said a refurbished device with a 3 month warranty. Or you just invest in a brand new device.
