I have reset all the notification settings, Do not Disturb is off, and notifications are on both in general settings and in whatsapp settings and I get no notification on my locked screen. No sound and it doesn't light up either. I do not get whatsapp notifications on my apple watch as well. This problem started suddenly.

Go to Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp and make sure the "Lock Screen" option is selected.
If it is on, you may need to check WhatsApp settings, make sure you are connected to the internet, and try updating/restarting yoru iPhone.
No whatsapp notification on locked screen.
