can't verify apple id

I transferred my husbands android to my old iPhone 8 and cannot verify apple id . I have tried different login's nothing works. Can't access App Store either. Do not see iPhone 8 listed as devices.

icloud verification I have an older iPad and it won't verify my Apple ID and cannot log into iCloud. It works fine on all other apple devices. And I was able to get Apple ID to recognize my device, but still get error with Apple ID and password on iPad.
