M1 Macbook Pro and WD19 Dock

The older thread would not allow for a reply/answer but here is what I did to get it working with our M1 Macbook Pros. Note that the M1 Airs do not support dual external monitors.

The working connection is as follows:

Use a Dell PC to get the latest dock firmware.

Connect the dock to the mac using the following config:

Monitor 1: display hdmi -to- dock usbc/TB
Monitor 2: display port -to- dock display port

This dell article has a decent outline of what is supported although it needs to be updated to include the M1 MBPros.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
