Oticon More hearing aids disconnecting from iphone XSMax IOS 15.5

Is this continuous disconnection unique to me? Most issues under a previous thread seem to relate to IOS 15.4. My new aids have only ever been used with 15.5 which is supposed to have solved the problems. and the whole Bluetooth experience has been quite appalling, connection established and pairing o.k. first thing with the aids out of the charger, then randomly during the day disconnecting, then the Oticon app connects fine on its own, with the Settings-accessibilty-hearing devices actually disconnected!, then the Oticon app disconnects too.

Of course I have tried all the usual remedies, turning Bluetooth off and on again, powering the phone down and restarting, dismissing the Oticon app and re-engaging it.

Is this a bug relating just to my iPhone model perhaps?

You've completed some great troubleshooting steps. By chance, do you have Hearing Aid Compatibility as well? This may may reduce interference and

improve audio quality with some hearing aid models. Here's how to check:

1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices.

2. Turn on Hearing Aid Compatibility.

For iPhone hearing aid compatibility ratings, see the Apple Support article About Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) requirements for iPhone.

Hearing aid compatibility ratings aren’t a guarantee that a particular hearing aid works well with a

particular phone. Some hearing aids might work well with phones that do not meet the FCC

requirements for hearing aid compatibility. To ensure that a particular hearing aid works well with a

particular phone, use them together before purchasing.
