My iPad is asking me to sign in to my email account. We have 3 devices. 2 iPads and a Lenovo laptop. One of the iPads has accepted the new password we had to create but the second iPad and the laptop will not accept the new password.

Why has one device accepted the new password but the other two haven't.

What can I do about it?

Has you email provider switched to using App Specific Passwords? If so, you will need to generate a unique password for your iPad email account - that will differ from your normal Account Password. As examples - AOL, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft all use App Specific Passwords when using anything other than their own email client Apps.


If you need to generate an App Specific Password, you’ll need to log-in to your Mail Providers account management webpage - using a web browser - and generate the Password from the appropriate account security page. In some cases, it may be necessary to generate an App Specific Password for each device.
