Upgrade to Big Sur, and now Sketchup has problems

I recently downloaded Big Sur on my 2013 MacBook Air. Now Sketchup Pro will display the dimensions inverted- upside down and backwards.

Sketchup communities knows about this problem, but trace it back to Apple during the upgrade.

Apple help communities have no information on a solution, from what I found.

I hesitate making upgrades, and now I finally did and I'm really paying for not following my gut. Can anybody help find a work-around or better fix for this problem?
