iMac 21.5 Late 2012 Running Slow Etrecheck File

It has been running terribly slow for quite sometime. This is my wifes computer and now she is after me to buy a new one so hopefully I can get this fixed. Etrecheck just says it has poor performance but nothing else really.

What it really says that's significant is your main disk read/write speeds are dismally slow. This is most likely the bottleneck.

I suggest booting from an external SSD if you wish to keep using this Mac.
