AirPods Max- using transparency mode as hearing aid?

I bought the AirPod Pros and they worked well for my iPhone, media and as hearing aids for my moderate hearing loss when in transparency mode. I tried all the ear tips but I couldn't keep them from falling out of my ears. I just bought a new pair of the AirPod Max headphones to use as an alternative but I can't find the same settings to set them up. I need to increase the volume for the transparency mode. For some reason I don't get the same options to set them up as the AirPod Pros?
