My Apple ID and email have been changed but not by me?

I really really hope someone can help.


I had 2 emails coming through from Apple providing me with a ‘verification code’ then followed by a ‘your Apple ID and email have been changed’ type of email.


I did not make these changes and I am now unable to sign into my original email which was my Apple ID - this is the one I definitely have always used for my phone and other emails from Apple state that this email is my Apple ID.


When I go to unlock the account as it tells me it is locked, it says the account is not valid or verified, so I ‘look it up’ and it keeps telling me my Apple ID doesn’t exist?


No one seems to know an answer and I have lost so much, the iforgot Apple route does not work neither the support app on someone else’s phone.


Has anyone had similar or a solution to this?

If you are the owner or the owner has shared all information with you then to open Activation Lock:- If it is Activation locked, read here --> Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support


Learn how to remove a device from a previous owner's account.


If you are not the owner and do not have the Apple ID and Password then there is no way that you can get into this iPhone unless the original owner shares the Apple ID and password with you. If you are lucky you can get into this iPhone if they (owner) accidentally remove the device from their Apple ID.
