IPhone SE not charging on motorcycle USB charger

Device and all cables/connections double-checked and verified, but the green lightning bolt on the phone does not illuminate...is it possible phone is charging (very slowly) but just not drawing enough power

  • The USB charger has a 15” pigtail with a male mini coax connecting to a 4' cable -- mini female coax terminating with +/- ring posts to the battery
  • Two 5 volt/2 Amp USB ports
  • Built-in 3 amp fuse

NOTE: battery connections are installed over existing ring posts for Battery Tender Junior pigtail

Hi HAMMYTOWN,

"When your device charges, a lightning bolt appears inside the battery icon in the status bar , or a large battery icon on your Lock Screen ."

It's likely not charging if you don't see the icon as describe in the quote above and found here: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge

When using a third-party power adapter or power source, it should meet the recommended specifications found on the page here: Power adapters for iPhone - Apple Support

You can also view helpful safety information here: Important safety information for iPhone - Apple Support

Cheers!
