I hope I haven’t signed in 2x. I don’t have an administrator for my new phone so I can’t access certain things. I don’t have the old phone it was traded in. I’ve never owned an iPhone so I’m completely lost

Then Verizon didn’t set it up correctly.
Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in with your Apple ID and password. Can you do that?
Also, look at the top of the page when you open the Settings app. Do you see your name and Apple ID, and if not, what do you see?
And what about at the top of the Settings page?
Also, on your computer open iTunes (or Music on newer Macs), go to the Account menu, Account Settings. Can you log in there?
OK, tap on your name at the top, then Media & Purchases/View Account and set up a payment method.
Sorry had to feed my dogs. I have completed everything and I have my Apple ID. Verizon has pretty much done all of this. Specifically when I go to App Store it asks for Apple ID then password. I enter both then receive a message that I am not an administrator so it won’t let me in

Apple ID my name legacy contact not set up it is the only thing that has not been done
