Start Up or Login Password Issue

When I start up my Mac book I do not see a ?? question mark or options for resetting my password, hint for my password. My machine is stuck.

I am on Monterey OS.

I have tried starting up in Recovery Mode,:

• Restore from Time machine,

and

• Reinstall Mac OS Monterey.

My last activity, when my mac worked properly, was backing up my Time Machine.

Please advise.

To rest it: System Preferences > Users & Groups Highlight the user and click Change Password. Follow any screen prompts presented.
