I have always used Chrome as my default browser. I've just updated Chrome to the latest version and under Apple System Preferences it still shows Chrome as my default browser. However everytime I open a link it always opens it in Safari. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the workaround.

Never had the problem with other browsers but a couple things you can try…
Choose something other than Chrome then reselect it.
Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. That can fix odd issues.
