AirPods Pro won’t turn on

My AirPods Pro were working perfectly fine until this morning. I plugged them in this morning for about 20 minutes (at this point they were still working, with I think ~20% of the battery remaining), and then unplugged and put them away. I later come to find out that they’ve stopped working. The light on the case doesn’t come on, and the earbuds themselves don’t connect to anything and have stopped making or cancelling any noise. I’m on vacation and am moving around quite a lot, so out of curiosity I checked my Find My app and the last ping it detected from my AirPods Pro was from when they were plugged in (4 hours ago). How do I fix this?

I do have some speculations, but of course I’m no expert. Could the case have completely drained its charge to the earbuds? Could the difference in voltage from America and the country I’m in have fried the battery? Is there something I’m missing?

Thank you for your time!

The voltage difference shouldn't matter- Apple devices are compatible with both. Try resetting the AirPods to see if it solves the issue.

  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Open the lid of your charging case.
  4. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the More Info button next to your AirPods. (If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth, just go to the next step.)
  5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
  6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.
  7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen.
