Does FCP make any use of Sony XML files?

Just curious. Each clip recorded by Sony cameras has a XML file associated with it holding some information about it (e.g rec709, etc). Does FCP actually use any of this when importing the clip?

If you edit and do things like crop faces and such our of the video for privacy, and then export the movie as a .mp4 or .mov file, when you share the .mp4 file, can someone take that .mp4 file and somehow download into iMovie or another editing software and somehow erase the edits you made on iMovie? In other words, would anyone be able to see what you cropped or edited out originally? Sounds unlikely, but just want to make sure!

Import .ts files into Final Cut Pro? My new dashcam shoots .ts files instead of .mpg and FCP can't import them. I can view them on VLC or convert them with HandBrake but it is too convoluted. Is there some way to get FCP to import them directly?

Importing video into iMovie from VHS tape I’m importing a video from a vhs tape into iMovie. When iMovie senses a scene change or shot change it captures that new shot as another clip in the project. Is there a way so iMovie captures the video as one long video instead of it automatically separating clips?

Of you see the information in Extended information then that’s where it’s getting it. I something missing?

I’m assuming you’re importing using the import.
