How to control Articulation from another track?

Hi All,

I'm trying to do a set up in Logic where by I control an Articulation setting on an instrument on Channel A, from a sequence/controller on Channel B. I've encountered a problem that seems to be limiting my ability to do this.

If I want to play a NOTE or alter CONTROLLER data on Channel A from a sequence on Channel B, there are numerous ways to accomplish this. However, Articulation messages don't seem to work the same. To be more detailed, I currently have Articulations controlled via CC#89 (1-127). If I use a hardware controller directly on the channel, sending CC#89(1-127) it works fine. BUT, if I send a CC#89 message from another track, either a routed controller or a sequence, it simply sees it as CC#89, and not an Articulation change. I've confirmed this by using the monitor script in Kontakt; send from a controller, Kontakt changes articulation. The same controller routed from another channel to this one... it just sees CC#89 and does nothing else.

My guess is that Logic is that Logic needs to see the Articulation control as coming from a controller of some kind. Does anyone know a work around? Is there a way to create a "Virtual controller" that can send articulations?

Any help would be appreciated.
