Safari sooo.. slow on my M1 Max MacBook Pro

My MacBook:

M1 Max 14" MacBook Pro, 32 GB RAM, 2021, macOS v 12.4

Safari takes forever to open any page. I have not made any configuration attempts in Safari, it is as installed.

At the same time, Google Chrome is like lightning fast.

How can I make Safari fast?

Thanks for your attention.

I had the same problem with a very recent M1pro MacBook Pro. I changed the DNS both at Mac and router levels to perform tests and Safari seems to be back to normal. The simplest way that worked for me was to use 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) in Preferences- Network-Advanced-DNS.

Hope this helps.

Hello!👐🏻

Try to clear history and cookies. Other options are to restart/erase and reinstall macOS/wait for an update that will hopefully solve the issue. If you decide to erase and reinstall macOS back up your information and You must remember your Apple ID password. This article could be helpful:https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/erase-and-reinstall-macos-mh27903/mac.

Have a great day!
