Where does iWeb '09 Save Websites on OSX 10.6.4?

Hi Everyone,
I just had a quick question.
*Where does iWeb '09 save files on your hard drive*. +I'm Running Mac OSX 10.6.4- Snow Leopard+
I have been looking for this answer for a while on the net, and i can't find the file.

Several sites have given me this answer: > Internet Websites wrote:
It keeps all this information in a file called the Domain file. This is located on your computer (username[(Hugh)]/Library/Application Support/iWeb)

I can't find it how much I try; and searching for it doesn't work either!

Your help is greatly appreciated!

No more than you were saying that my post was misleading.

I think we are writing from different experiences, as I tried to explain. I have no doubt that iWeb '09 saves its FIRST (and only) site in User/(username)/Library/Application Support/iWeb. Period.

I also have no doubt that I did not create a folder named Sites in User/(username), a folder that has an icon circle with a short diagonal line in the circle. Folders I create in User/(username) don't have any icons on them.

And I have no doubt that that my first web site was saved by an early version of iWeb into User/(username)/Sites. I was too green an iWeb user at that time to deliberately save my first site in a folder that I would have had to create.

So what's the problem?

hi roddy,

actually i was referring to the graphic path of alancito in his posting higher above - which pointed me to looking into the wrong folder, so it actually misled me already.

your post stated the reason for this - the fact that the domain file is in the folder on user level rather than on system level. but your post just states this - it does not give a simple click-through advice. so i thought it might be helpful to add this click-through path. for people who are not familiar with telling system level from user level, this maybe could help. and there was a time in my life when i was one of these people. 😉

so, no offence to you. if i misled you, i apologize. 😉

double click your icon of your system disk,

then go to folders

user/(your user name)/library/application support/iWeb.

make sure that you already stored a website in iWeb - otherwise there isn't anything to be found.
