iphone

I'm a new iphone user. I made an account on the iphone not realizing that the transfer data was part of the iphone set up. I had the information transferred from my chip on my android to the iphone. Now my I can't make calls on my android. If I clean the iphone and start over so I can transfer data from my android to the iphone, will the phone still work on the iphone and will the data be erased from the android when I clean the iphone?

iPhone X, iOS 15

Hi Jake_70,

Congratulations on your new iPhone! If you completed the setup of the new device before transferring data over, it will be necessary to restore the iPhone to factory defaults in order to use the Move From Android process. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings covers how to restore the iPhone to factory default settings, and Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch covers the process of moving your data during setup.

If your carrier has changed the SIM card associated with your service from the one used in the Android to the one used in your iPhone, this process should have no impact on your ability to use the iPhone for calls and SMS once completed.

For information on erasing your Android device after the transfer is complete, consult the manufacturer of that device or the Android software for details.

Regards.
