saving to icloud

before my last software update, my voice recorder app auto saved to my icloud space. Im unable to set it up to save to this location now and its using all my phone storage.

Voice memos app taking 335GB. Storage Bug My device (7+) has 128GB of storage and it only filled 73GB (2nd picture) which is the real value. But it says that I have 335GB of voice recordings. I can't do a backup to iCloud or to my laptop as it runs out of space because even my laptop thinks these figures are true. I already tried deleting and reinstalling the voice memo app, deleting safari browser data, restarting my phone several times, resetting all the settings, signing in and out from apple id, deleting previous iCloud backups, and deleting voice memos. Is there a solution?

How do i delete icloud voice memos without deleting it from my device? why can’t i sync my voice memos accross devices without having them backed up on icloud? Isn’t the whole point of i cloud that its a separate storage from my phone? my voice memos used to sync with my Macbook pro but now they don’t because the i cloud storage is full. why can’t i sync my voice memos accross devices without having them backed up on icloud? seems like Apple is trying to make us pay for their subscription. if I remember right before a recent iOS update my voice memos syced even though icloud was full. please Apple give us that old feature back. as of now seems the only option is paying for more i cloud storage. syncing information like voice memos across devices should be a free feature. that can easily be done like before without forcing people to buy icloud storage. having my voice memos on my macbook pro too isn’t even an icloud thing. i cloud is supposed to be cloud storage. I shouldn’t need icloud storage to sync data on my device. how else am i supposed to transfer voice memos onto the macbook pro so i can view them in the app? as of now i can save them as a file but that is so inconvenient & it doesn’t save the original date etc.

Deleting voice memos from Icloud deleted them completely When I signed up for Icloud (200gigs) I told it not to sync my voice memos, because there's too many and I would rather just have them on my phone. Last week, after an update my Icloud filled up suddenly, and it was asking me to upgrade to 2T for $13 per month. I went through storage options, and saw that my voice memos were on there now. So I deleted them because I have all of them on my phone. So that I could have space to backup my phone on the 200 gigs I have. But! When I deleted the voice memos from my icloud, it also deleted them from my phone! My last backup from a week ago does not have voice memos on it because I had never told it to backup or touch the voice memos! I'm a pro musician and I just lost hours and days of work and some of my best songs/inspirations that I'll never get back. I couldn't sleep all last night, this made me so angry. I spent hours troubleshooting, but all the voice memos are gone from recently deleted, and they aren't on Icloud data recovery either. You guys should fix this.
