Reconnecting Apple Mail with Gmail after password change

Apple mail won't reconnect to my Gmail Account after changing Gmail password. I click on "Open Browser" and it just keeps giving me the perpetual spinning wheel. Help please!

Where do I enter my email password in Apple Mail? Earlier, I received a notification from Google saying I had to re-enter my password for my email account. I am using Gmail with Apple Mail. It's been working for many years with no difficulties. This has happened before and there was no drama. When I clicked on the notification from Google a pop-up appeared from Google saying that I had to enter the password on their website. (This is typical, and I've done it before.) I did this without difficulty and I logged into my email account successfully ON the G-Mail website. Unfortunately, the Apple Mail program is not connecting to the Gmail server. A search online lead me to an Apple page that showed me how to enter my password. The problem is, there is NO place to enter my password in Apple Mail that I can find. Following Apple's instructions, I did this: Internet accounts > I selected my email account > Details (this is the place where Apple says I enter my password.) In "Details", there are ONLY 3 items, email address, description, and name. Nowhere to put in a password.

Apple Mail Problems w/Gmail I've been trying to fix this for a couple of months now. I have four Gmail accounts set up in my Apple Mail, and one of them won't go online. The others are perfectly fine. When I try to take it online, it tells me I need to authenticate it in Safari, and so I click OK, but it immediately comes back with another popup saying it failed to authenticate with Google, try again later. I even tried to add another google account, and it gives me the same message. When I'm in Safari separate from Apple Mail, I'm able to login to my Gmail account no problem. When this first started happening a couple of months ago, when it told me it needed to authenticate in Safari, it would actually pull up my account in Safari via a pop up, but when I tried to log in, it would tell me it couldn't find the server, try again later. I appreciate the help.

Apple Mail will not connect to gmail MacOS Ventura 13.4 - Using Apple Mail - I have several personal Gmail accounts that work fine. My employer provided email will not "go on line" in Apple Mail. I've uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and still will not connect. The installation process validates via Chrome without error. the account is valid and can access via webmail. Working fine on other devices as well. This seems to be a very specific Apple Mail issue. I cannot be the only user to encounter this. Yes...I've read the generic KB articles on connecting to other email clients. Our system admin is useless and will not help with any Mac issues.
