My series 3 didn't finish updating and is now stuck on the Apple Logo screen of death. I let the battery nearly fully deplete but that didn't resolve it not being able to boot - force restart does nothing.

We'd love to assist you with getting your Apple Watch updated. You came through from an article that provides great steps for resolving the issue. Were you able to complete the step to delete the update and try downloading it again at the bottom of the section titled 'If you need help updating'?

yes I followed all those typical step and it did not resolve my issue. I am now waiting for my watch to completely drain and have unpaired it from the watch app on my phone.
The watch still displays the time and when I charge when it still has any power I get the white apple and not a startup screen. So I am waiting for it to fully drain
I 💯 agree with you. This seems to be exactly what happened with this watch.
