regain disk space from installed iPhone to Mac software

Yesterday I connected my iPhone to my Mac. The Mac installed some software to connect it to the iPhone which took up some GBs. The phone is backed up to the cloud, how do I regain this disk space back?

Where in Finder are the iPhone to Mac connectivity software kept?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

If the user is referring to this software >>> If you see "Software update is required to connect to your iOS device" on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

It occupies very little space on the computer

To actually regain some meaningful space on the computer Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
