Can't sing in on the Mail App, password is incorrect.

I have a Apple ID, which is on my phone and it has its password. Also i cant sing in on the Mail app because it says the password is incorrect. Im saying this because if you have to contact that Apple ID, im letting u know that it cant be used. But u can contact my Mail which is on my phone. When i try to download apps it says that my password is incorrect. Im trying to reset my password now. May i get the help please. My Apple ID has my phone number. Thank you.
