What causes the watch silent mode to turn on seemingly by itself?

Hello, if you've recently used cover to mute after getting a notification or call, and held your palm for three seconds or more, silent mode enables by default.
If you wish to turn this feature off, go to the Watch app>My Watch>Sounds & Haptics>turn off Cover to Mute.
