Universal control not working on new MBP

I have a 2018 Mac Mini and a brand-new 14-inch MacBook Pro, both running MacOS 12.4. I have previously used Universal Control with the Mac Mini and another MBP, and the Mini also works with my iPad. The 14-inch doesn't work with the Mini or the iPad—I push the mouse at the edge of the screen and nothing happens. I've tried restarting, toggling Universal Control, toggling Handoff. I've also confirmed that other Handoff features work between this Mac and my other devices. Any other suggestions?
