2017 27" Mac Graphic card issues?

Hi I have a 2017 27" iMax with the 3.4 GHz i5 and Radeon Pro 570 4GB graphics card. I started having this issue 6 months ago and it was rare to occur and fixed itself quickly. It now happens a few times a day and can last for 5 mins (if I am unlucky). A you can see in the picture the screen splits itself in half horizontally and the the right hand side splits itself in half vertically. All 3 screens show the same thing but color is off and it is all scrunched up. I comes right by itself.

I have factory reset the machine and reset the PRAM/NVRAM. All to no avail. It will happily drive external monitors with no issue. Any one got some words of hope for me :-).

Closing this out in case anyone else has my issue .... I decided to start simple. I started by cracking open the iMac and replacing the LCD data cable. .... Now this never ever happens to me but..... that fixed it :-). So I got away with spending about $22 on the part, replacement adhesive strips, and a very cheap tool to break the existing adhesive. I have had it taped up for a week and a half now and it is good as gold. Since I have it opened up I'm going to take the opportunity to swap out the HDD with an SSD.

So if anyone else sees what I showed in the picture above... try replacing the cable first.... Maybe you will get lucky like me.
