Mac Studio refresh rate blocked at 30Hz

Hello,

I received my Mac Studio M1 max and I have a problem with my external display.

When I connect in HDMI (HDMI output on the Mac) my LG 32UN500, the display frequency available in the Mac settings remains blocked at 30Hz maximum.

I did the same thing using an LG 27UL550 screen and I can see the 50Hz option.

My hypothesis is that the problem comes from the 32" screen. Do you know how to get around this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Did LG provide the HDMI cable, or is it one of your own? It is possible the HDMI cable is not capable of 60Hz.

Have you tried DisplayPort? This might require either a Thunderbolt 3 (or 4) Dock, or an HDMI to DisplayPort cable rated at 60Hz or better.
