iPhone Email APP: Badge missing in Notification Settings after pairing with new apple watch

Since i paired my new apple watch 6 on my iphone xs with the latest IOS 15.5 i lost the email badge and thus no number count for unread messages on the app.

I've tried every setting, even deleting all configured accounts, hard/soft resets but can't get it to work

anyone got an idea for a fix? i've read some other topics but there is no solution to be found either.

is there a bug with the apple watch 8.6 and ios 15.5 that causes this?

it happens for all email accounts configured within de default iOS mail app.

once i unpair my Apple Watch en give the iPhone a hard reset it works fine. The badge option appears again and the number of unread Mails shows.

when i add the Apple Watch again to my phone (new or from backup) immediately the badge option is gone.

so I’m guessing either it’s a new bug or somewhere some setting from the Apple Watch messes It up. I’ve tried all settings that I know off unfortunately no succes yet

Thank you for those details. Since you already unpaired your Apple Watch and set up as new, it may be best to reach out to Apple directly.

You can contact them by going to Get Support.

They will take a closer look and check on available options.

To confirm, does this happen with multiple accounts, or only certain ones? Does it happen with you iCloud account?

Does the badge show the incorrect number on both devices, or only one?
