My I watch is 8 months old and it completely dead now won’t hold a charge to last all day

Is the battery covered under warranty

Check your battery health in settings if the figure is about 80% or thereabouts it is recommend to replace the battery.

The battery isn't covered by applecare and I think it costs about $79 to replace.
