Thank you.
Would it possibly be one of the following exact 86xx models listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support?
The above printers support the AirPrint technology.
Otherwise, a plain HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support (US edition, July 01, 2022). However, the HP Officejet Pro 8600A e-All-in-One Printer N911a, HP Officejet Pro 8600A Plus e-All-in-One N911g, and HP Officejet Pro 8600A Premium e-All-in-One N911g were listed as AirPrint-supported models in an old (February 13. 2012) iOS: AirPrint 101 Apple article (HT4356). Possibly an early firmware/AirPrint version?
Please double-check the printer model.
If the AirPrint technology would work properly with this printer, one should not have to install drivers (Mac) or use a special app (iPhone), provided that the printer, the Mac, and the iPhone are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).
In case of difficulties with AirPrint, and if the setup is OK, a problem with the router not correctly discovering/registering/detecting one or more devices can be suspected. If so, one can try the following procedure (in the exact order):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac computer, the iPhone, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac computer. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
OK. Could you specify what kind of upgrade(s) it was (and in what way Verizon was involved)?
Also, any information about the router make and model (please do not post serial numbers or access codes)?
hi. I took it into Verizon to fix my printing issue. They dismissed me bc they said it was an Apple upgrade causing the printing problems.
i will look for make and model tomorrow
it was from Comcast
Hi,
Any information about the exact printer make and model?
Do you want to print from an iPhone and/or an iPad? From a Mac computer (system version)?
It is HP Office jet pro 8600. I want to print from my phone and my mac
It is the office jet pro 8600 and it did work well on both my Mac and my iPhone until the upgrade. That’s what Verizon told us when I asked them to fix it
OK, I will assume that it is an AirPrint-enabled printer. Did you try the full power-cycling sequence in my previous message?

I rebooted printer, router and Mac w/o success
i can't add or access my printer to any of my devices since one of the upgrades.
