Is it possible to reset apple mail on my Mac?

Is it possible to completely reset my apple mail on my Mac? I have deleted the accounts and added them back, but theres still multiple mailboxes and I cannot get my combined email box anymore. I want to reset it and start over.

On My Mac folders/mailboxes are just that on the mac.

For problem accounts the go to way to sort things out is to delete the account, then add it back.

Note—

• IMAP accounts stay on the server, so no local loss, when you re-sync

• POP accounts download and remove from the server—therefor save your inbox/sent box if you want them

• "On My Mac" is just that, local folders you created and moved mail into. So no loss
