Strange Unifi VPN Issue
So I have a strange one, and I feel like I’m overlooking something super simple..
I have a client that is heavily mac based. I have configured a VPN through their local unifi controller, so that remote employees can access on-site machines, printers, and file servers.
When the users are on-site, off VPN (obviously), Finder > Locations > Network shows all of the available machines on the network.
When they go off-site and connect to the VPN, Locations in Finder disappears. They are able to ping on-site machines via terminal, but are unable to connect like they normally would under Finder > Locations > Network, and they need to have that ability.
I have a hard time believing it’s the VPN, as I’ve done this many times now and the config is fairly simple. On my windows machine, connected to the VPN, I’m able to RDP into their few windows machines no problem.
Apple support said it’s a VPN issue, and Ubiquiti said it’s a Mac issue, so.. any ideas? Lol
Thank you!
