Activation Lock?

my friend was gave a iphone 6S plus and the owner did not give her the information and we cannot contact him due to him being in jail now. and now we have no way of unlocking we have tried bypassing the lock and other ways and came up with nothing, can we get assistance with it?

Unless it's with contacting him, no. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.
