When I am typing on my macbook pro, often, the browser reloads or goes back

I have a 2015 Macbook Pro and a 2019 Macbook Pro and they both behave the same way. Often when I am typing - on the laptops themselves, not an external keyboard, resting my hands on the laptop as I type, the browser will reload or go backwards. In other programs, the cursor will randomly jump while I am typing. I am sure this is not isolated to just me. Does anyone have any advice? I am getting ready to get the next Macbook Pro that they are releasing in October and hoping there is a fix.

Are you accidentally brushing the trackpad?
