Stuck App

I am installing an app from App Store. Downloading is completed but it is stuck while installing that app. It is showing loading for a long time. I have tried restarting or shutdown Mac but it didn't help me.

Mac App Store glitch? "Install" button disappears on rollover. (More inside) Trying to download certain apps, when I rollover the "Install" pop up box (after clicking the "Get" and "Install" buttons beside the app name itself), the Install button disappears, then reappears when I take move the cursor off the box. Like it's playing hide-n-seek. Things I've tried: Making sure the apps are compatible with my Mac; restarting, making sure all updates are current. I'm on Mac Mic M4 with Sequoia 15.5

App Store not working on a Macbook Pro (mid 2012) Recently updated to Catalina OS (from El Capitain) and the App Store app will not open (spinning color wheel ensues.) Any ideas on how to update the app that controls updating apps?

Try restarting in safe mode and see if that makes a difference.
