some keys on my macbook keyboard have been remapped by accident.

some keys on my Macbook pro keyboard have been remapped. The "f" is full screen , the "e" is emojis, the "c" is control panel. The keyboard viewer is correct, but the actual keyboard is not consistent. Please help. Do I need to delete a corrupt preference file?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.4

I restored defaults and restarted in safe mode. Neither fix the problem.
There could be a third-party app involved, but I can’t tell.

A SafeBoot disables third party as your test.

try —Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

I checked the Accessibility settings. They appear correct.
I setup a new user and had same problem. It seems like a global problem.
Previously (2 days ago) if i pressed any key on the keyboard it would power on. Now i have to press far right of the touch bar to power on.

I would suspect a hardware issue—
