Gopro Hero 10 and 2020 13" Macbook with Intel Processor

I have a 2020 13" MacBook Pro with the Intel processor. I cannot download video from my Gopro Hero 10 without iMovie and Quiktime crashing. I have installed the latest iOS operating system and all software updates. My daughter's 2020 MacBook with the M1 chip processes the GoPro video just fine. Is this a ploy by Apple to get users to migrate to their new M1 devices? I sure hope not. Is Apple going to rectify this issue soon?

Hi, BigIslandNewbie.. see if there’s an update for the GoPro 10 by going Here: https://gopro.com/en/ca/support/hero10-black-product-update… follow the directions in the link exactly when installing the update… and check to see if there’s an updated version of Quik, the GoPro app for transferring files… should be available in the App Store… here’s a link to the latest firmware update for your GoPro 10:
