Studio Display charging feature

I'd like to buy the Studio Display but I was wondering if it's possible to stop the display from charging a connected device.

Let's say the MacBook or another device is mirrored via the USB-C thunderbolt cable I don't really want it to be charged if the battery is already full or at like 80%...

Thanks in advance,

Cheers.

No, you cannot turn off the charging option in the upstream port, however, the Mac will manage its own charging and only pull whatever power it needs from it. It cannot be over charged and will keep itself at around 80% charge if its continuously plugged in, so there is no issue with that feature in that case.

Other devices should manage their own charging, but depending on the device may need to be unplugged if they don't stop charging at 100%.
