Messages not syncing group messages (Macbook Pro and iPhone 13 up to date os and iOS)

I have been trying to setup a new Macbook Pro (2020 13-inch Apple M1 Monterey 12.4 and iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 15.5) and Messages is not showing group messages that are shown on the iPhone. Both devices are as up-do-date as they can be. I have logged out and in both devices - rebooted both - logged in/out of iCloud numerous times, checked to be sure that proper accounts are being used for iMessage - and that they are both syncing to iCloud, forced the 'Sync Now' option in @ settings for iMessage with enable Messages in iCloud checked but simply cannot get my group messages to show in Messages on my Macbook Pro. I've followed all Apple Forum suggestions and much more. This is making me nuts. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Goes to 11,

To clarify, do you use Messages in iCloud? See how to confirm if its enabled on both devices below.

Turn on Messages in iCloud

To turn on Messages in iCloud, make sure that you've set up iCloud and are signed in with the same Apple ID on all your devices, and that you've turned on iCloud Keychain. You also need to use two-factor authentication with your Apple ID.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Turn on Messages.

On your Mac

  1. Open Messages.
  2. In the menu bar, choose Messages > Preferences.
  3. Click iMessage.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Enable Messages in iCloud.

If that feature was not enabled, it can be expected for group threads on your iPhone to not sync over to the Mac. Additionally, are these SMS/MMS (Green) threads or iMessage (Blue) ones?

Let us know and we'll continue based off that info.

Cheers!
