HP Color LaserJet MF: M281fdw not connecting to scan after updating to Monterey 12.4

Neither my desktop nor laptop will connect to scan with Monterey 12.4. I am able to print but not scan. Uploaded a current driver and that won't even open??


Help..I use this every day for work!!

iMac 24″, macOS 12.4

This often happens after an OS upgrade. Installing a print driver enables printing. Updated scanner software for your scanner also needs to be updated now. Look for it on the scanner's web site. You can also scan using Apple's Image Capture software, but it is not full featured. You can download and try the VueScan app. It is an excellent full featured scanner app. There is a one time charge for it but you can try it for free. I recommend it. I have no association with VueScan.
