File will damage computer, move to trash

I have a pop up that keeps alerting that I am afraid to send to trash because I’m paranoid that by pressing move to trash that I will install a virus so I’ve been pressing cancel so I can use my screen. I looked under Finder for this file name and didn’t pull anything up on the computer. What to do?

Alerts take no action. They tell you something you need to know and act upon.

This one is telling you a specific file you downloaded is dangerous. It's not a virus, but Apple has decided this type file is not good for your Mac.

Apparently it's malware. I suggest you download and run MalwareBytes or DetectX Swift to eliminate it.

You have the option to report this to Apple or not.
