Siri only works now when side button pushed. Siri only works when side button pushed. I checked settings and all is as instructed. Ideas how to remedy?

Siri not responding on iphone 16 pro It is so annoying that you spend more than $1000 to get an upgraded device and prefer using the older version. I am a frequent user of Siri which i never noticed until i got the 16 pro and Siri is acting up. ‘Hey Siri or Siri’ does not respond and using the side button activates Siri but the responses are slow. I have tried different methods listed on several sites and some work temporarily. I hope this is something that is being worked on because it is disappointing.

Set up "Hey Siri" to help Siri recognize your voice

Go to Settings.
Tap Siri & Search.
Turn off Listen for "Hey Siri," then turn it back on.
When the Set Up "Hey Siri" screen appears, tap Continue.
Say each command that you see on your screen.
Tap Done.

If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Follow the Steps One after the other in sequence...

Settings > Siri & Search > Listen for "Hey Siri" [Disable]
Settings > Siri & Search > Press Home for Siri [Disable]
Next
Settings > Siri & Search > Press Home for Siri [Enable]
Settings > Siri & Search > Listen for "Hey Siri" [Enable]
