Share Play Black Screen

Whenever I try to use share play on facetime, the video I am playing goes black and all you can hear is the sound. It does the same thing for the person on the other end. We both have the updated iOS version and are using the compatible share play apps. Is there a fix for this?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.3

Additionally, if playing recently purchased content, it might take several seconds for the content to sync with everyone else's video.
