Cannot locate Exe file sent to iPad.

I’ve sent a windows Exe file from my Mac to iPad via airdrop. When transferring, I was prompted to select App Store / or open with file. I selected open with file, but nothing happened. It showed on my airdrop on my Mac stated successful but I cannot locate the Exe file on my iPad n iCloud. Where can the file be?

I’m aware that iPad n Mac doesn’t run Exe file, but the reason why I wanted to send it to iPad is becoz I wanted to send it via WhatsApp to my friend to be opened in windows. But I can’t locate the file..

thank u in advance..

If you wish to transfer an “.exe” file via your iPad, you’ll first need to create an archive file (e.g., “.zip”) - and then transfer the archive file to the iPad. When using AirDrop, you can choose to Save to Files - and save the archive file in a path of your choosing.

Attempting to directly transfer an “.exe” will likely be unsuccessful - this being an unsupported file type for iOS/iPadOS.
